SAPC-DOPS Delivery System
for Diagnosis and Monitoring of Cancer

Molecular Targeting Technologies (MTTI) has entered into an agreement with Bexion Pharmaceutical for its innovative SapC-DOPS technologies for research and clinical diagnostic applications. Bexion has a first-in-class biologic product with potential to treat a broad range of human cancers. The active biologic is expressed human Saposin C (SapC), a naturally occurring human lysosomal protein of 80 amino acids that functions as an activator of lysosomal enzymes, bound to a liposomal formulation of the anionic phospholipid, dioleoylphosphatidylserine (DOPS). In preclinical models, Bexion’s SapC-DOPS has shown preclinical efficacy in over 60 human cancer cell lines and in 6 tumor mouse models. When SapC-DOPS is combined with a radionuclear and/or fluorescent tag, MTTI envisions that the resulting nanoparticle can be used for early cancer detection and monitoring of cancer treatment.
